Resident of the Month: Doris B.
Doris was born on June 15, 1954 in Kukurantumi, Ghana, a small hamlet. She went to primary and secondary boarding school in Ghana. She then went to college for one year before coming to Am
erica on December 25, 1977. While in middle and high school, Doris was a member of the debating society and on the discipline committee, teaching other students the right thing to do.
She finished her college here, in Washington D.C. and graduated in 1982. She then went on to work as a concierge at a hotel in Washington. Later in life, she moved to Elkins Park, PA. She worked for WIC, helping and providing food to pregnant woman and their children.
She has always enjoyed painting and tie dying materials, with a love for reading as well.
