Meet Your July Resident of the Month: Gwendolyn B.

Born on July 15, 1943 and raised in South Philly, Miss Gwen has enjoyed her life. She moved with her family to Germantown as a teenager and has lived there ever since. Miss Gwen has always had a love for singing, which started in Sunday school when she was six. Church has always been a very important part of her life.

Miss Gwen attended Simon Gratz High School where she continued her love for singing and sang in the school’s choir. She then went on to complete one semester at Cheney University. At this point in her life, going to work was what she had to do. She worked as a District Attorney Trial Listing Clerk in Philadelphia for 25 years.

Miss Gwen loves her family. She has one son, one grandson and one brother. Along with her family, she developed a strong friendship and love for her Sorority Sisters, which was started in high school and they are all still together today.

Miss Gwen loves the Lord and she expresses she wouldn’t be here today without Him, when having a bad day, she opens up her Bible, reads and prays, especially Psalms 23 & 24.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
