Roslyn is a community in Abington Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Originally called Hillside, the name Roslyn came from rose gardens that once grew there. The first known person of European descent to settle the area was John Tyson, who bought a tract of land in 1717. He built lime kilns to turn the abundant local limestone into quicklime, starting an industry that operated into the late 20th century.

Abington Community Taskforce – The Abington Community Taskforce is composed of of diverse organizations working together to enhance the effectiveness of programs and services for youth and their families in order to ensure a safe and caring community.
Roslyn Film Festival – Independent filmmakers, both local and from other cities and states, submit film shorts to a panel of judges for content, length, and entertainment value. At the festival, the audience is given ballots to choose their favorite film, with trophies and prizes awarded to the top three.
